The first driving technology that has sparked the public's interest is the remote parking feature that allows the vehicle to park itself completely on its own. If you are inside the vehicle, all you need to do is push and button and sit back while your vehicle perpendicular or parallel parks into an empty space. If you decide you want to step outside of the vehicle and watch the magic happen, you'll need to use a remote to tell your vehicle to go ahead and park.
Another technology that was made available on this Ford Edge Concept is a collision avoidance system. This system uses sensors and cameras to detect objects in front of the vehicle that may be slow-moving or stationary. Once an object is detected, your vehicle will alert you with enough time to slow down. If you make no action to stop or steer out of the way, your vehicle will take control of the pedals and wheel to steer your vehicle out of harm's way.
Along with these innovative technologies, the standard MyFord Touch infotainment system will continue to be offered with the Ford Edge Concept.
