A Message from Our Chairman Mark O'Brien:

"Our founder, Roy Edwin O'Brien Sr., opened our Ford dealership on March 14, 1946, with a $50,000 investment, ten employees, and NO NEW CARS FOR SALE! (World War II  was ending and all automotive production was shifted to war munitions and equipment). 

Today, our 110 employees are engaged in bringing our customers the finest in automotive sales and services and our average monthly payroll exceeds $600,000! Grandpa O'Brien would be very surprised to see how much we've grown! 

His son, our past chairman, Roy E. O'Brien, Jr., ushered in an era of mass communication, increased customer satisfaction, and sales levels to place Roy O'Brien Ford in the Top One Hundred Ford retailers in the entire country!

As we look towards our future, our president and general manager, Roy Patrick O'Brien, envisions the new, state-of-the-art dealership that you see depicted by the artist's rendition below. With a keen eye towards detail and  our mission of "treating customers BETTER than they expect to be treated", Roy continues the legacy that our grandfather and father created at the now famous corner of "Nine Mile & Mack!"

Ford F-150 might have a Land Rover Turbodiesel V6

This Ford F-150 might be packing a lot of power. According to AutoBlog, "The engine produces a respectable 254 horsepower and a healthy 443 pound-feet of torque". Their spy photographers caught this Ford F-150 driving around Dearborn, wearing camouflage around the bed – not so unusual near Ford's headquarters. "What's interesting with this particular mule is that it might be packing a Jaguar-Land Rover turbodiesel V6".

Ford is reaching new levels of innovation by researching alternatives to driving cars, such as bikes, public transportation, and apps.

Rebecca's Cheesecake Stuffed Strawberries

Cheesecake Stuffed Strawberries

Ingredients:

• 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
• 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 
• 1 pint fresh strawberries, hulled and cored
• 3 graham crackers, crushed, or as needed

Directions:

1. Beat cream cheese, confectioners' sugar, and vanilla extract together in a bowl until smooth; spoon into a piping bag or a resealabe bag with a corner snipped.
2. Fill cavities of cored strawberries with the cream cheese mixture. Dip filled side of strawberries in the crushed graham crackers to coat.
3. Enjoy!

Corine's Banana Oatmeal Yogurt Cups

Prep Time: 50 min.
Cook Time: 14 min.
Total Time: 1 hour 4 min.
Serves: 6

Ingredients

• 1 mashed banana
• 1 Tbsp honey
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1 cup oats
• ½ tsp cinnamon

Instructions

1. In a small bowl mash your banana, add honey and vanilla and mix.
2. Add in oats and cinnamon and stir well.
3. Spray a muffin tin and divide mixture over 6 muffin cups. Using a spoon form the mixture into cups, bringing it up the sides.
4. Place in fridge for 45 minutes.
5. Bake in oven at 350F for 14 minutes.
6. Let cool and then fill with your favorite yogurt.
7. Store in sealed container in the fridge
8. ENJOY!

Zach's Swiss Broccoli

This recipe has been handed down in Zach's family, and he would like to share it with you! We hope that you enjoy it!

Recipe makes 6 to 8 servings 
Bake time: 30-35 min. 

Ingredients: 

• 5-6 cups bite-size broccoli
• 1/4 cup melted margarine
• 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
• 1 cup sour cream
• 1 small onion, minced
• 1/4 tablespoon pepper
• 1 tablespoon salt
• 2 tablespoon sugar
• 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese

Directions: 

1. Preheat oven to 375F. 
2. Bring large pot of water to a boil while you trim broccoli and cut into small florets. When water starts to boil, put broccoli in and cook not more than 1-2 minutes (just until the broccoli turns bright green.) Immediately dump broccoli into a colander placed in the sink and let drain.
3. Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat and add flour; cook until bubbly. Stir in onion.. Bring to a boil and cook for 1 minute. Remove from heat and season with salt, pepper, and salt. Stir in cheese and sour cream; mix well. Combine mixture with broccoli and transfer to a 9 x 13 inch casserole dish.
4. Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes 

Alex's Cornflake Crusted Chicken

Our Sales Associate, Alex Apess, is very happy to share this delicious recipe with you.  We hope that you enjoy it!

Ingredients

• 2 ½ pounds chicken strips (or boneless skinless chicken breasts cut into strips)
• 1 ½ cups corn flake crumbs
• ½ cup parmesan cheese
• ¼ teaspoon black pepper
• 1 teaspoon garlic (or regular) salt
• 1 ¼ sticks butter
• 1 packet of ranch dip

Directions

1.  Preheat oven to 400 degrees

2.  Pour cornflakes into a large plastic zipper bag, close the bag, and then use a rolling pin to turn the flakes into crumbs. Keep crushing corn flakes until you have 1 ½ cups of crumbs.

3.  Put the crumbs in a mixing bowl, add the parmesan cheese, pepper and garlic salt and mix together. Then, melt the butter in a microwave safe bowl.

4.  Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil. 

5. Take each chicken strip, dip it in butter, roll it in the cornflake mixture, and then put it in the pan. You can put the strips close to each other in the pan, but make sure to leave a little space in between. Bake for 25 minutes.

6. ENJOY!
