As of October 1, 2013, the Service Parts Warranty on Ford & Motorcraft parts is increasing to 24 months and unlimited miles - wow! The current warranty is 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first. However, the new warranty:
- Applies to all Ford and Motorcraft branded parts sold to customers or installed on a customer paid repair.
- Standard Parts Warranty on Ford paid repairs (warranty, customer loyalty program, recalls, owner notification programs) remains unchanged at 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first.
- Standard Parts Warranty labor is now reimbursable to requesting fleets and installers for parts sold over-the-counter. Limit of $150 per repair.
- Dealerships continue to be reimbursed labor on SPW repairs completed in the repair shops.
- SPW coverage remains unchanged on parts with unique warranty coverage, including powertrain assemblies, batteries, and sheet metals as stated in the Warranty & Policy manual.
