When the next Polar Vortex strikes,
we'll be ready thanks to the snow plow prep option, available on the
all-new 2015 F-150. Ford is the only manufacturer
to offer a light-duty snow plow prep option for Regular, SuperCab, and SuperCrew models. To activate snow plow mode, it's as
easy as a push of a button. The F-150 will temporarily turn off
unnecessary features to ensure maximum power for the plow, giving
drivers full capability to get the job done. Ford continues to maintain efficiency and power in any situation!
The new 2015 F-150 is up to 700 pounds lighter, providing better handling and increased capabilities. The maximum light-duty plow weight will be over 450 pounds, still making the new F-150 lighter than ever. Lighter in weight but still maintains toughness and durability makes for the ideal truck for plowing. If you want this tough new tool equipped on your F-150, make sure your vehicle qualifies. The option package requires a 5.0-liter V8 engine and four-wheel drive, and is available across XL, XLT and Lariat trim levels.
Owners will need to take their truck to a Ford Qualified Vehicle Modifier to purchase and install the plow hardware.
