ST. CLAIR SHORES, Mich. — Ford
Motor Company's February Sales Overview shows
that the month of February ended with some positive news! It was Ford's
best February for F-Series in eight years, selling a total of 55,882
vehicles throughout the month. Although Ford's U.S. total sales are
down 6 percent compared to last year and retail sales are down 4
percent, the F-Series and Lincoln brand vehicles managed to
pull through and posted strong gains for the month of February.
According to John Felice, Ford Vice
President, U.S. marketing, sales and service, sales increased rapidly after a slow start to the month. In addition to the
terrific sales performance from the F-Series and Lincoln, the Ford Fusion
also continued its strong retail sales performance out West. Fleet
sales were off 10 percent in February due to the delayed portion of
fleet orders from the winter weather. With the start of March, the
volumes are anticipated to be made up. Ford Motor Company's February Sales
Overview just goes to show that aside from the small obstacles provided by Mother Nature, Ford can still come out on top with some very positive gains.
