This year's BrandIndex midyear review surveyed 600,000 Americans, asking them to rate 1,100 U.S. companies based on if they had heard anything good or bad about the brand in the past two weeks. The survey proved that respondents felt very favorable towards Ford Motor Company, allowing the automaker to jump 6 spots from last year, to the BrandIndex's #1 rated company this year!

Ford's top brand perception ranking is due largely to the increasing sales momentum of the automaker's Ford Fusion and Ford Focus cars. Special 2014 Ford Mustang GT Inspired By U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds

ST. CLAIR SHORES, Mich.- In celebration of the 60th anniversary of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, Ford Motor Company has done something extremely special and created a new 2014 Ford Mustang GT! Inspired by the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, the special 2014 Ford Mustang mirrors the jet's glossy red, white, and blue paint scheme.

Equipped with a 5.0-liter engine, the one-of-a-kind 2014 Ford Mustang interior features a modified navigation screen, instrument cluster, rear seat-delete, unique sill plates, and puddle lamps that project the aircraft silhouette when the doors are open. Additional special features include embroidered Thunderbirds elements on the vehicle's Recaro seats.

When it comes to exterior updates, the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds inspired 2014 Ford Mustang features unique treatments like wide body modifications, handcrafted "belly pan" that resembles the F-16 appearance, and custom 22-inch wheels.

So why did Ford Motor Company build a special 2014 Mustang inspired by the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds? Edsel B.
