The all-new F-650 and F-750 medium-duty trucks will be available in three cab styles—Regular Cab, SuperCab, and CrewCab—and three models—straight frame, dock height, and an all-new dedicated tractor model for heavy towing. Ford is providing customers with capability and convenience at its finest by equipping both of these trucks with powerful and efficient second generation 6.7-liter Power Stroke^® V8 diesel engines. Not only do they contain a host of unique features, these trucks are made to impress and now include segment-exclusive Ford gasoline and diesel engines. This is a BIG advantage for Ford because they are the only medium-duty truck manufacturer that builds its own diesel engine and transmission combination. With this approach, Ford engineers can perfect the vehicle's performance across the entire lineup.

 

As the All-New F-650/F-750 Join America's Best-Selling Commercial Trucks Lineup, the new features in the medium-duty trucks allow drivers to ride safely, conveniently, and comfortably. These trucks feature SYNC^® and Crew Chief^™ factory-installed fleet management telematics, a 110-volt power outlet, available rapid-heat that warms the cab in cold climates, and remote start. Additionally, the steering wheel features new advanced controls to keep drivers focused on the road and a convenient turn lever that features automatic five-blink turn signals at a click! The improvements keep on getting better and become more driver-focused with every generation. The new medium-duty trucks are designed with an all-new Ford engineered frame and suspension including a newly available anti-roll bar for smooth and improved riding.

Gracenote Brings Voice Activated, Mood-Based Music to AppLink Users

ST. CLAIR SHORES, Mich - Gracenote developers are giving drivers the opportunity to have a unique music experience while driving. This company is bringing a voice activated,  mood-based music application to Ford SYNC® AppLink users. 

The HABU Music smartphone app will be available for Ford SYNC® AppLink equipped vehicles. Using simple voice commands, the app makes it easy to listen to different music collections. Drivers can enjoy any playlist to fit their mood, without having to recall a specific artist or track name.

HABU takes advantage of all of the metadata that Gracenote provides to analyze music collections and arrange songs based on their mood characteristics. There are 25 moods that songs are categorized into and can be retrieved by simple voice commands. Drivers can tap into automatically generated playlists with the press of the SYNC button on the steering wheel. While pressing the SYNC button and saying "Play relaxing", "Play happy", or whatever their mood may be, songs in the related category will play.

Some of the moods and synonyms drivers can request are:

• Cool, funky, hip
• Peaceful, calming, calm, soothing, relaxing, sleepy
