Henry Ford Day Declared June 30th

Henry Ford Day Declared June 30th

ST. CLAIR SHORES, Mich.- Over the weekend, a community event held at the Henry Ford Estate celebrated the 150th anniversary of the birth of Ford Motor Company's Founder, Henry Ford. At the celebration, his official day of birth, June 30th, was declared Henry Ford Day in the state of Michigan!

Both the Michigan House and Michigan Senate adopted resolutions earlier in the year to recognize Henry Ford's impact on the automotive industry, society, and our state. So, to acknowledge all that Mr. Ford has accomplished, the Michigan Legislature declared his birthday, June 30th, Henry Ford Day in the state of Michigan.
“He is recognized for his pioneering spirit and innovation that put the world on wheels, and we honor his contribution to significant social and economic progress.”
The Michigan Legislature's resolutions were presented to Bill Ford and Edsel Ford II at the community celebration over the weekend at the Henry Ford Estate. The celebration also included the announcement that the Henry Ford Estate will officially transfer from the University of Michigan to the Henry Ford Estate Inc. which will restore and reimagine the estate to appeal to the next generation of those interested in the life and times of Henry Ford!
